Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Ukraine seeks to adopt the best practices of Estonia in modernizing governance, digitalization and cyber defense

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes that Ukraine will be able to adopt the best practices of Estonia in modernizing governance, digitalization and cyber defense.

“Thank you for your willingness to be a partner and share your valuable experience in these issues,” the Head of State said during a joint press conference with President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid in Kyiv.

He also said that Kyiv and Tallinn planned to continue active cooperation to fully implement the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union and promote sectoral integration.

“We need to step up for Ukraine to become part of the European Union’s digital market,” the President of Ukraine said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed hope that the implementation of reforms in the Ukrainian state would be a powerful impetus for the growth of bilateral trade and Estonian investment in Ukraine.

“I hope that the Estonian business, which is traditionally very active in Ukraine, has already seen new opportunities to work here,” the President said.

For her part, Kersti Kaljulaid said that Estonia was ready to continue practical cooperation. “We ask where you need our help and we will provide it,” the President of Estonia said.
