President met with the President of the Riigikogu

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with President of the Riigikogu Henn Põlluaas in Tallinn.

The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the active position of the Estonian Parliament in support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted Estonia’s solidarity with Ukraine’s position on condemning the decision to return the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He also stressed the importance of the Baltic Plus initiative in PACE.

The parties discussed the prospects of development of interparliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia and establishment of effective working contacts between the parliaments of the two states.
