President Petro Poroshenko stresses that Ukraine should have intolerance to corruption at all levels. “We have absolutely clear approaches that there should be zero tolerance to corruption in the country,” he said during a speech at the Forum “From Energy Efficiency to Energy Independence”.

In this context, the Head of State put forward an initiative to dismiss Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Valeriy Holovko and his First Deputy Andriy Pisotskyi and addressed Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman with a proposal to submit a petition for the dismissal of these persons.

“They are facing serious claims by the National Anticorruption Bureau, relevant evidence was provided, hence, it would be better for an objective investigation if Mr. Holovko did not hold a high government office,” Petro Poroshenko said.

“This is, in my opinion, a logical solution that should become a model for such cases. This is an innovation in the Ukrainian life,” he emphasized.

“The court has the upper hand, but we must create conditions for any investigation to enjoy public trust,” the President also emphasized.

He expressed firm conviction that intolerance to corruption that now exists in society should not be lost. “This is a historic chance for a change that Ukraine has received. And this chance must definitely be realized. We cannot waste it,” the Head of State said.

“Our duty is to unite all those ready to defend Ukraine and work for its prosperity and security,” he added.
