President of Ukraine met with the leadership of the CDU and Alliance 90/The Greens

The parties also discussed the issue of counteraction to hostile propaganda.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is on an official visit to Germany, met with co-chairman of the Alliance 90/The Greens Robert Habeck and chairman of the Christian Democratic Union Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer.

The Head of State assured German politicians of holding the reforms that would ensure the rule of law and fair justice, as well as improving the investment climate.

In addition, the President explained the steps he would take to achieve economic growth in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of engaging German business in Ukraine and emphasized that he would personally control that process.

During the meetings, the parties discussed the development of alternative energy sector and projects planned to be implemented with the involvement of foreign partners. The President also raised the issues of the occupied territories, the return of the captured Ukrainian sailors, the issuance of Russian passports in the temporarily occupied part of Donbas, the expansion of sanctions against Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked both politicians for standing on the side of Ukraine and having a clear position regarding the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of Donbas.

The parties also discussed the issue of counteraction to hostile propaganda. The initiatives of the President were endorsed by the leaders of both parties.
