The traditional 19th Ukrainian Festival of Languages and Cultures closed with the final stages of all Contests.
This year, about 400 participants from kindergartens, universities and schools competed, all of them in their own category. Despite the difficulties in the Festival process because of Covid-19 pandemic, Online Contests have been in high demand.
Many talented children from kindergartens all over Ukraine have taken part in Contests of the “Kindergarten” category, organized by the Ukrainian Festival of Languages and Culture on May 14, 2021. Little participants competed in: Family Contest, Folk Dance Contest, Ukrainian Song Contest, Ukrainian Poetry Contest and Painting Contest.
On May 15, 2021, the University Category Contests of the Festival took place. These Contests were attended by representatives from 11 Ukraininan universities. Participants demonstrated their knowledge and skills in: the Turkish Language Test, Book Reading Competition, Song Contest, Poetry Reading Contestand Stand-Up Contest.
This year there was only one Contest in the High Schools Category at the Festival; it was the “Colors of Voices” Song Contest. Sofia Shvets has achieved great success and in the result of the selection stage she took first place among all candidates, of which there were more than 120 participants from all over Ukraine. Thus she got the right to represent Ukraine in the Grand Final of the Colors of Voices Contest of the International Festival of Languages and Cultures. In the final, which will be carried out online on June 26, she hopes to win the votes of the jury, as well as the votes of the listeners from Ukrainians and of citizens of other countries.
About 400 participants from all over Ukraine competed in different nominations of the Festival. At the end of the intense marathon, the winners will be awarded at the Concert, which will be online on the youtube UFLC channel on June 15, 2021 at 20:00. It will be broadcast live as part of the Awards Ceremony of the Festival of Languages and Culture.
The Organizing Committee of the Festival of Languages and Cultures continues to prepare a rich closing program for the Festival. In addition to prize-winning songs, poems and folk dances, well-known Ukrainian artists will participate in the program, and they will be a surprise to many visitors.
All participants, their families and acquaintances are invited to the awards ceremony of the Festival of Languages and Cultures, which will take place on June 15, 2021 at 20:00.
