If more than 2,000 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection are recorded daily in Ukraine, the daily coronavirus death toll would increase to 40-50. This was discussed during a traditional conference call chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In addition, during the meeting, it was noted that the German medical association Marburger Bund announced the beginning of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Also, the second wave of the epidemic is expected in Poland, France and the Netherlands.

“The rules and the specifics of quarantine should be clearly translated to Ukrainians. Our people are responsible, but they must understand what to prepare for, what adaptive quarantine is. We need to explain to people why one city is in the “red” zone, while others are in the “green” zone,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President inquired about the progress of lifting the Delfi tanker, which sank off the coast of Odesa. The head of state demands to resolve the issue of liquidating the ship accident consequences.

Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy said that a crane has already been found to carry out the relevant work, and today an agreement will be signed for lifting the tanker free of charge. The official promised that the work on lifting the vessel will be significantly intensified.
