French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and US President Joe Biden convened in Berlin to discuss further assistance for Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia. The leaders underscored their commitment to provide Ukraine with increased support, aligning with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Victory Plan.

In a joint press release on the German government’s website, the leaders condemned Russia’s continued aggression against Ukraine and outlined new security, economic, and humanitarian measures. “The leaders condemned Russia’s ongoing aggressive war against Ukraine and discussed their plans to provide Ukraine with additional security, economic and humanitarian aid, including the use of extraordinary proceeds from frozen Russian assets,” the statement revealed.

The summit also delved into President Zelenskyy’s Victory Plan, a roadmap aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine’s pursuit of a “just and lasting peace based on international law, including the United Nations Charter, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

The meeting comes as Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russian advances, with international support playing a crucial role in the nation’s resistance.
