President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife Olena took part in voting at the extraordinary elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine.

“I expect honest, fair election result,” the Head of State stressed at a polling station in Kyiv.

The President noted that first of all new Parliament should consider a bill on abolition of immunity of people’s deputies.

Regarding the formation of the coalition, the President stressed: “We do not see a coalition with anyone from previous authority.”

At the same time, he noted that this issue would be resolved after the announcement of election results.

According to the Head of State, a Prime Minister must be someone who has not previously worked in major posts.

“I believe this person should be a professional economist. I really wish this person to be a completely independent one who was neither a Prime Minister, nor a Speaker, nor a leader of any faction” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised.
