In the framework of the working visit to the EU and NATO institutions, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis.

The parties discussed practical issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the financial and economic spheres.

According to the Vice President of the European Commission, the European Union will finalize the consideration of the issue of providing Ukraine with the second tranche in the amount of 500 million euros within the fourth EU macro-financial assistance program as soon as the relevant requirements for its receipt are met by the Ukrainian side.

The President of Ukraine assured that our state would adhere to its international obligations, in particular in relations with international financial institutions. In this regard, the European side was informed of the results of the meeting between the President and the representatives of the International Monetary Fund, during which the parties agreed on further steps in cooperation with the fund.

Given the victory of the pro-European political forces in the recent elections to the European Parliament, Valdis Dombrovskis expressed confidence in maintaining solidarity regarding Ukraine in the future composition of the European Commission and the European Council.
