Turkey ranked 52nd on Henley Passport Index

According to HPI’s website, Turkish citizens have visa-free access to 112 destinations.

Turkey’s passport has been ranked 52nd on the 2019 Henley Passport Index (HPI), a global ranking of passports based on the freedom of travel they provide, declining one place compared to last year.

According to HPI’s website, Turkish citizens have visa-free access to 112 destinations. This number includes countries that issue visas on arrival such as Azerbaijan and Bangladesh as well as those that require electronic travel authorization (eTA) like Pakistan and Mexico.

According to the index, which has been available since 2006, Turkey’s passport peaked in 2014, ranking 38th.
