VIDEO – PHOTO | The final of the song contest “Colors of Voices” was held at the “Meridian” International School

During the final concert program, the performances of 18 semi-finalists who fought for the championship in the national selection were demonstrated.

The “Meridian” International School hosted the final of the song contest “Colors of Voices”, which is a local qualifying round for participation in the world stage of the International Festival of Languages ​​and Cultures (IFLC).

This exciting and vivid musical duel became the key event of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Languages ​​and Cultures-2021 (UFLC). It was organized by the “Meridian” International School and the International Cultural Center “Syayvo” with the support of a number of ministries: education and science, youth and sports, as well as the Institute for Modernization of Education Content of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Patriotic Union of Ukrainians “Sonyashnik”, the International Charitable Foundation “Sonyashnik” and School of pop performance “Dream School”.

Alla Soroka, a graduate of the “Meridian” International School and a multiple participant of the festival from Ukraine, became the host of the festive program, which took place, taking into account the quarantine, mainly in an online format. Noting that this year is already celebrating its 20th anniversary, she invited Natalia Soshnikova, the headmaster of the school, to the microphone. From her lips, the audience heard about the solid achievements of the educational institution for several decades, as well as words of hope – perhaps the next time the festival will be held in the usual format, giving the joy of live communication.

The performances of the participants in the song competition were evaluated by a professional jury: the founder of the International Festival “Sonyashnik”, the chairman of the board of the charitable foundation “Sonyashnik”, the president of the Patriotic Union of Ukrainians “Sonyashnik”, the winner of the all-Ukrainian awards “Woman of the III Millennium” and “Soul” Alla Gorbunova, Honored Artist Ukraine, soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine, winner of the title “Woman of the Year”, associate professor of the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts Olena Goncharuk, famous Ukrainian singer, musician, winner of the national project “Ukrainian Song” -2019, winner of the title of the best representative of contemporary music of Ukraine Igor Grokhotskiy, singer-songwriter, media expert, actor, presenter, TV expert of the talk show “Ukraine Says”, coach-trainer in vocal for the participants of the TV show “Voice of the Country”, “Voice-Children”, “X-Factor”, winner of the “100 Successful Ukrainians” and “50 outstanding men of our time”, President of the nationwide award “Person of the Year a “Aleksey Sagalovsky, Honored Artist of Ukraine, actress of the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater, singer, composer, laureate of the Kiev Pectoral Award Viktoria Vasalatiy.

Recall that the points given by the jury accounted for 75% of the total assessment of the performance of each contestant, and another 25% fell on the votes given to the performers by the virtual audience that joined the multi-day online popular vote.

During the final concert program, the performances of 18 semi-finalists who fought for the championship in the national selection were demonstrated. The jury, together with the audience on the other side of the screen, watched the competition numbers of Sofia Al-Hadidi, Daria Bayramova, Alexander Balabanov, Alisa Botvintseva, Maria Danilova, Leticia Iskander, Alexandra Kabakova, Alexandra Knysh, Christina Matlak, Daria Molodina, Olga Poluden, Victoria Skakun Christina Starikova, Olga Tkachenko, Taras Tovstoy, Polina Khoroshevskaya, Irina Shegeda and Sofia Shvets.

Contenders for leadership represented various cities of our country: among the young performers were participants from Kiev, Vinnitsa, Chernomorsk, Ternopil, Zaporozhye, Kropyvnytskyi, Myrnograd, Lutsk and Irpen. Numerous viewers were also offered a video about the International Festival of Languages ​​and Cultures (IFLC), as well as a video of the collective performance of the composition “Colors of the World”, which became the leitmotif of the festival.

After the completion of the main program, the moment came, which the contestants had been waiting for – the announcement of the winner and the names of the participants who took the second and third places. This year, a contestant was also elected, who was able to surprise everyone with an original stage outfit with a Ukrainian flavor. A young singer from Lutsk Olga Tkachenko became a triumphant in this category.

The honorable third place in the “Colors of Voices” song contest went to Alexander Balabanov from Kiev. The second in the musical races was Kristina Starikova from Myrnograd, and the championship was won by Sofia Shvets from Kiev.

We congratulate all the contestants with significant achievements and the conquest of a new peak on the musical Olympus! We are convinced that Sofia Shvets will successfully perform from Ukraine in the world finals of the International Festival of Languages ​​and Cultures (IFLC).
