Jon Pahl talked about the Hizmet Movement in Bern

Jon Pahl gave a talk on the Hizmet (Service) Movement in Bern. Historian and author Prof. Dr. Jon Pahl, who wrote the biography of Fethullah Gülen Hocaefendi, came to Bern as part of a series of conferences on Hocaefendi and the Hizmet Movement in various cities in Switzerland and Europe.

Speaking to the audience in Bern, Pahl explained the importance of Fethullah Gülen Hocaefendi and the Hizmet Movement for world peace from an external perspective. Many readers from the Bern and Neuchatel cantons gathered in the Reform Church Hall in Bern Bümpliz to listen to Prof. Dr. Jon Pahl.

Jon Pahl, a professor in the field of Religious Studies, has written a comprehensive biography detailing the life of Fethullah Gülen Hocaefendi and the characteristics of the Hizmet Movement. The book has been translated into multiple languages and a conference series in Germany and Switzerland is taking place in conjunction with the publication of the German translation of the book.

In the book titled, “Fethullah Gülen -Ein Leben Des Hizmet”, Prof. Dr. Jon Pahl recounts Hocaefendi’s life story from childhood, delves into his impact on the Islamic world, and thoroughly examines the emergence of the Hizmet Movement.

Jon Pahl stated that the Hizmet Movement has been specifically targeted by the AKP government, particularly after the largest corruption operation in the history of the Republic, and is being isolated with big lies.

Pahl, who stated that Fethullah Gülen is a man of peace, emphasized that Hocaefendi’s teachings have greatly contributed to strengthening tolerance and dialogue between societies.

After the presentation, the participants asked questions about the Hizmet Movement.
