Export prices for Kazakh wheat decreased 6.7% in 2017

Cotton export prices rose by 7.5% last year.

According to the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, prices for Kazakhstan-exported commodities gained 21.2% in January-December 2017, while those for Kazakh imports grew by 6.8%, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Cotton export prices rose by 7.5% last year. At the same time, export prices for wheat sank by 6.7%.

Kazakhstan exported 4.9 MMT of grains in 2017, i.e. 7% more than in 2016. According to the Customs Control Committee of the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan, Kazakh wheat shipments expanded to 3.9 MMT last year against 3.8 MMT in 2016. Barley exports reached 897 KMT at the time (up 25% from 2016).
