President Petro Poroshenko took part in the IV All-Ukrainian Family Forum, which began today in Kyiv. “It is a great pleasure for me to be here today and to participate in the family forum. The family is extremely important for every person, especially for a believer,” the Head of State addressed the participants of the event.

Petro Poroshenko noted that from the very birth almost all of us enjoy the care of the family: at first parents care about the child, and later, having met a loved one, he creates his own family, which he is ready to defend.

“When the country is in trouble – people defend their state and land with weapons in their hands. What does a soldier think about risking his own life to defend his land? Of course, about his country and his people. He protects his home, he protects his family,” the President emphasized.

The Head of State said that immediately after the given event he would make a working trip to the east. “Allow me to convey greetings from all of you to our soldiers, as I am going to the frontline on a working trip,” he said.

Petro Poroshenko thanked the organizers of the forum. “This is very timely. A right signal that Ukrainians will hear. The fact that we need to strengthen the family. Because we go to a strong Ukraine from a strong family,” the President noted.

“The family ensures unity of the Ukrainian people. And unity allows us to overcome the aggressor. The aggressor who invaded our land in the east. The family allows us to strengthen the spiritual front of Ukrainian society,” the Head of State also emphasized.

Petro Poroshenko wished the forum and its participants a fruitful work. “I am glad that this forum has united Ukrainian society. I am grateful to everyone who decided to take part in it,” the President noted.
