During the working trip to Lviv region, President Petro Poroshenko visited the Ukrposhta City Office, examined its work.
The Head of State checked the execution of the order on ensuring the activity of Ukrposhta branches in the countryside. The President asked about the amount of salaries of the staff of the enterprise.
“We had to allocate 500 million hryvnias from the budget to protect the rural offices and ensure the payment of wages to the postmen. The staff of Ukrposhta is under the personal protection of the President. We will protect them,” Petro Poroshenko noted.
In turn, the director of the post office informed the President that not a single employee of the office had been fired and all the offices had been preserved. He added that the money for the payment of wages had been received in time.
According to the Head of State: “If the pension is increased, the salary of the postman who delivers this pension should also be increased. There is no other way. We will take steps to increase social protection”.
The President also got himself acquainted with the functioning of the Center for the provision of administrative services of the Drohobych City Council.
In 2016-2018, the Center took part in the implementation of the EU technical assistance project “Center for the provision of administrative services as an innovative tool of interaction between the government and community”. The total cost of the project amounted to 2 million hryvnias.
