Volodymyr Zelenskyy held negotiations with Prime Minister of Estonia Jüri Ratas

During an official visit to Estonia, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held negotiations with Prime Minister of Estonia Jüri Ratas.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to the Estonian Government for its consistent support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country and for its position on sanctions against Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the relevance of studying Estonia’s leading experience in the areas of digitization, e-government and cyber security.

The President noted: “You have great professionals in digital sphere. We want to use your experience in transforming our country. Because we have a big project “A State in a Smartphone”.

They also discussed the modernization of the educational program in Ukraine and the increase in student exchange.

“We support all educational initiatives. We have a new team, a new Minister of Education, we want to increase the level of education in Ukraine,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The parties also touched upon the importance of maintaining positive dynamics of bilateral trade growth and stressed the need to renew the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Estonian Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

The President of Ukraine informed the Estonian side of the steps of the Ukrainian authorities aimed at improving business conditions and opportunities for attracting investments.

“We would like you to consider Ukraine both as a geopolitical partner and as a country where you can invest. We are really interested in the development of joint ventures in Ukraine,” the Head of State said.

The parties agreed that overcoming corruption would be a great impetus for further cooperation and prosperity of Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Estonia stressed that Ukraine was making tangible steps in that direction.
