President introduced the newly appointed Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the newly appointed Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Valeriy Kondratiuk to the staff of the state agency.

“Excellent professional training, high level of education, significant managerial experience gained during his work in senior positions in military intelligence, security agencies, diplomatic service and other government agencies allow Valeriy Kondratiuk to successfully perform the full range of responsible tasks for our country,” the Head of State said.

The President presented an official ID card to the newly appointed Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. A decree appointing Valeriy Kondratiuk was signed by the President on June 5.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that under the leadership of Valeriy Kondratiuk, the Foreign Intelligence Service will strengthen its ability to protect national interests in the conditions of a hybrid war against Ukraine.

Valeriy Kondratiuk thanked for the President’s trust.

“I understand my personal responsibility for carrying out the tasks assigned to the Foreign Intelligence Service,” he said.

Valeriy Kondratiuk stressed that his priority is to strengthen the intelligence apparatus, improve the work of information and analytical units, develop cyber and technical intelligence, improve the material and technical base, ensure social protection of employees and their families.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, Minister of Defense Andriy Taran, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak.
