President signed a law prohibiting representatives of the aggressor country to be observers at the elections in Ukraine
The law takes effect on the day following the day of publication.

President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine on Observing the Election Processes in Ukraine” adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on February 7, 2019.
The law makes amendments to the laws “On Elections of the President of Ukraine”, “On Elections of the People’s Deputies of Ukraine”, “On Local Elections” stipulating that a citizen (subject) of a state recognized an aggressor state or invading state by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine cannot be an official observer of foreign states or international organizations.
This ban also applies to persons, proposals on which have been initiated or introduced by a state recognized an aggressor state or invading state by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The law takes effect on the day following the day of publication.
