The enemy is in our land and we have to do everything to liberate it – Petro Poroshenko

The President stressed that Ukraine would continue to combine military efforts with the diplomatic ones.

During a meeting with the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President of Ukraine, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stressed that “the strategy of our further counteraction to the Russian aggression should be based on a systematic and integrated response to threats, in particular through the rigid, active defense that makes the offensive of the enemy pointless”.

“It is necessary to raise the price the adversarywill pay in case of adventurous, reckless actions, in case of further aggression,” the President said.

“The enemy is in our territory and we must do our best to free the Ukrainian land. This is our sacred duty,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized.

The President stressed that Ukraine would continue to combine military efforts with the diplomatic ones. “And we will definitely win. For in this liberation war, the truth is with us and the whole world is with us,” he said.

The Head of State stressed the need for the increase of defense capabilities of the state; active diplomacy; strengthening of international sanctions, which can restrain the aggressor; establishing and maintaining cooperation with our partners on all international platforms and coordinating strategic communications.

According to him, the implementation of international monitoring instruments of control over the security situation around Ukraine, especially in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, must be ensured. He believes it is also necessary to ensure the internal strengthening of Ukraine, consolidation of forces within the state through effective social and economic policy.

The Head of State also emphasized the need for increasing attention to the protection of important state facilities in Ukraine. “Russia’s emphasis of the hybrid war on destabilization of the situation within Ukraine requires an adequate response,” the President said.
