The authorities of Canada invited the new President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to visit their country on June 2. Canadian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk stated as Radio Svoboda reported.
“It (the invitation, – red.) was personally given, at least, by the phone. And both sides will cope with the documents” Vashchuk said.
According to the ambassador, Canada will hold a conference on supporting reforms in Ukraine on this day, June 2.
Vashchuk believes that Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau expects the arrival of the President and other officials of Ukraine.
“Although we understand that the elections campaign will be in Ukraine at that time,” the Ambassador pointed out.
Earlier, the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel had a phone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. They discussed Minsk Agreements, as Steffen Seibert, the official representative of Germany’s Government.
