President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is determined to implement ambitious reforms in Ukraine, in particular, in the fight against corruption. He stated this during an official visit to Germany.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, it is primarily about ensuring the full operation of anticorruption infrastructure, together with the newly created Anticorruption Court.
The Head of State thanked Germany for a significant financial and technical assistance to our country and expressed conviction that Germany was an important pillar of reforms in Ukraine.
In particular, during a meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, the parties discussed prospects for trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
“Germany is one of the priority markets for Ukraine and one of the key investors,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, among the European countries, Germany ranks first in terms of trade with Ukraine and fourth in terms of investment in our country.
“I assured the Federal Chancellor that I would be the guarantor of the legality and observance of the rights of foreign investors working in Ukraine,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
It should be noted that the program of the official visit of the President of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany also provides for the meeting with representatives of German business aimed at the deepening of cooperation.
