Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected the objects of “Great Construction” in the Chernihiv region
Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked if it was possible to speed up the work.
During a working trip to the Chernihiv region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Regional Center for Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine of the Chernihiv Regional Council, where reconstruction is underway within the national program “Great Construction”.
Director General of the center Ihor Danylenko told Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the activities carried out in the medical institution and showed him the work of the central operational dispatching office.
The Regional Center for Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine has an operational dispatching office, which processes about 450 calls per day, a telemetry consulting center and training department.
Currently, the reconstruction of a two-storey addition to the emergency medical care department is underway, which is carried out with the use of energy-saving technologies. The completion of construction is scheduled for November this year.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked if it was possible to speed up the work.
“If you can speed up and complete the work in September-October, we would be grateful. You understand, difficult times, medicine today is important more than ever,” the Head of State said.
In response, Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Andriy Prokopenko promised to work out the issue and noted that it was quite possible.
Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration also told the President about the progress on other facilities in the region within the national program “Great Construction”.
“Chernihiv is a tourist city, and we are actively working on infrastructure,” Andriy Prokopenko said.
According to the RSA Head, it is planned to build five medical, educational and sports facilities in the region, as well as to restore the road network.
“A new road will be completely built to connect Chernihiv and Pryluky through Nizhyn. The cost of this road is UAH 1.5 billion,” the RSA Head noted.
“Thank you very much for the funds for state roads. Such funds are unprecedented,” he added.
“We see the implementation of work within our fundamental project “Great Construction”. As for the roads, we are building more than in any other year of independent Ukraine. And we are very proud of that. We are confident that in 2020, everything will be built according to our plan,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized speaking to the media.
He stressed that in the framework of the national program “Great Construction”, the construction of five kindergartens, five schools and five sports facilities is planned in the Chernihiv region.
“If we promised to renovate or completely build new schools – as it is a matter of comfort for our children and teachers – I think we will find the opportunities and fully complete these facilities,” the President added.
