On the Day of the Armed Forces, the President visited Ukraine’s frontline in eastern Ukraine
The President also presented valuable gifts - watches - to the military.
During his working visit to the Donetsk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid a visit to the military unit performing tasks in the area of the Joint Forces Operation.
The Head of State spoke with military personnel – members of the JFO.
“We are grateful to you for your great work, for protecting our native land,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
The President also presented valuable gifts – watches – to the military.
“I am very happy for those guys and girls who come with me side by side. I respect them, they are very reliable,” awarded servicemen Natalia said.
Serviceman Serhiy noted that today’s visit of the President was a surprise for him.
“I defend my homeland, I was born here. This is my land. I appreciate my colleagues for covering my back. Best friends can be found here,” he said.
The Head of State joined the festive dinner with the military, watched the children’s drawings sent to them as a greeting, and listened to the stories about weekdays on the frontline.
The President also heard a report on the operational situation in the JFO area.
