President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the contribution of the volunteer movement to the development of the Ukrainian army.
Speaking on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Head of State emphasized that the work of volunteers was one of the components of the solid foundation of the Ukrainian army and a symbol of the nation’s cohesion.
“The unity of the country is our strength. And today I cannot but mention those who became direct participants in the development of the Ukrainian army. Our volunteers,” the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the volunteers for their work aimed at strengthening the defense capability of the army.
“We are grateful to the volunteers for their great and important work, for every armor vest, thermal imager, first aid kit and no less important children’s drawings with wishes to come back alive handed over to the army,” he said.
