Newly Released Epstein Documents Reveal Close Ties Between Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew’s Former Aide David Stern
Newly unsealed U.S. Justice Department documents reveal extensive ties between Jeffrey Epstein and David Stern, a longtime associate of former Prince Andrew. The files show Stern facilitating communications, business deals, and personal arrangements for Epstein for more than a decade, reigniting scrutiny over Epstein’s influence within royal and business circles.

London, February 11, 2026 – Freshly unsealed files from the U.S. Department of Justice, part of a massive release of millions of pages related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, have spotlighted the enduring relationship between Epstein and David Stern, a German-born businessman and longtime associate of former Prince Andrew (now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor).
In one notable exchange from 2009, Stern reportedly referred to himself as Epstein’s “soldier” and to Epstein as his “general,” underscoring a hierarchical yet collaborative dynamic. Epstein, in turn, described Stern as “my China contact” in various messages, highlighting his role in Epstein’s international network.
The correspondence includes discussions of high-profile investments, such as electric vehicle startups like Lucid Motors and Faraday Future, as well as potential deals involving Nigerian oil and other ventures. Stern pitched opportunities to Epstein, who appeared to leverage the connection for influence and access.
Several emails raise questions about personal arrangements. In October 2013, Epstein wrote to Stern suggesting that “Andrew might want to have [a very beautiful friend] for a dinner” during her upcoming visit to London. Other messages reference organizing events, including a “super” dinner at Windsor Castle in 2017—nearly a decade after Epstein’s conviction—and facilitating introductions or assistance for Epstein-linked individuals visiting royal sites.
Stern’s proximity to the royal family is evident in photos included in the files, such as one showing him seated next to the late Queen Elizabeth II at a Pitch@Palace event in 2016, and another from 2014 depicting him with Andrew and Sarah Ferguson at his own birthday celebration.
According to reports, Stern resigned from Pitch@Palace shortly after Epstein’s arrest and death in 2019. He also stepped down from related roles, including a directorship at the St George’s House Trust (based in Windsor Castle) in 2022 and, more recently, an advisory position at Cambridge Judge Business School following media scrutiny over his Epstein links.
The documents do not accuse Stern of criminal wrongdoing, but they portray him as Epstein’s “man in the palace”—a trusted figure who relayed messages, organized trips, and pursued mutual business interests long after public scrutiny of Andrew’s Epstein connection intensified.
British authorities have previously assessed related claims involving Andrew, including allegations of sharing sensitive trade documents with Epstein during his time as a U.K. trade envoy. The latest revelations have reignited debate over the depth and duration of Epstein’s influence within British royal and business circles.
The U.S. Department of Justice’s ongoing release of Epstein-related materials continues to uncover details about his vast network, with Stern’s name appearing thousands of times across the files. Stern has maintained a low public profile and has not commented publicly on the disclosures.
