Thank you for saving Mariupol – President congratulated the residents on the fifth anniversary of the liberation of the city

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the residents of Mariupol on the fifth anniversary of the liberation of the city from the illegal armed groups.

“You are free, you are true Ukrainians! I am grateful to you for saving Mariupol. Mariupol is Ukraine!” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the events on the occasion of the anniversary.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of a conscious approach to propaganda. He noted that it should not influence the inhabitants of Mariupol, as they are strong people.

Separately, the President thanked the soldiers-volunteers who defended Mariupol. The attendees honored the memory of the fallen heroes with a moment of silence.

The Head of State also visited the festive fair in the city center and talked with Mariupol residents. At the fair, Volodymyr Zelenskyy bought toys for his children.
